Sohini Karanth

Sohini was introduced to Kathak at the age of 6 by Guru Smt Nivedita Bhattacharya in Lucknow. When she moved to Bangalore, she joined Abhinava Dance Company to learn kathak under her Gurus - Smt Nirupama Rajendra and Shri TD Rajendra. Over the past 16 years in her association with ADC, she has worked towards becoming a seasoned dancer. She is trained in Taal Vidya under the guidance of Guru Pt Divyang Vakil and has also been trained in Hindustani music. Sohini has been part of numerous renowned performances nationwide and abroad.

Sohini holds a degree in Architecture. She completed her Rangapravesha in 2017 and has been teaching at ADC since 2019.
