Ramdev Pir (Baba Ramdevji, 1352–1385), a 14th-century Rajput folk saint from Pokhran, Rajasthan, is revered across Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Sindh. He composed many devotional poems (banis) emphasising truth, compassion, and social equality. He founded the Kamadia Panth (or Kamadia path), which promotes devotion, service to the poor, and harmony between communities. Worshipped as an incarnation of Krishna by many, his teachings and miraculous stories continue to inspire folk devotion and syncretic cultural traditions in western India.
