Guru Ghasidas (1756–1850), a prominent saint and social reformer from Chhattisgarh, founded the Satnam Panth. He strongly advocated monotheism, social equality, and the rejection of caste discrimination and idol worship. Born into the Chamar community, he preached the worship of one formless God (Satnam) and worked tirelessly to uplift the marginalised sections of society. His teachings continue to inspire social equality and spiritual simplicity in central India.
