Atukuri Molla (16th century), popularly known as Molla or Mollamamba, was a pioneering Telugu poetess from a potter community in Andhra. She authored Molla Ramayanam, a simple and elegant Telugu adaptation of the Ramayana. Using lucid, everyday Telugu with minimal Sanskrit, she made the great epic accessible to common people. Her work stands as a landmark in Telugu literature, breaking social barriers and enriching Bhakti expression through poetry during the Vijayanagara period.
