Gangasati, a medieval saint-poet from Saurashtra, Gujarat (12th–14th century), enriched Bhakti literature through her devotional songs in Gujarati. A follower of the Nirgun Bhakti tradition, she composed 52 bhajans to guide her disciple Panbai on the path of devotion. Her verses emphasised moral living, inner purity, and devotion to the formless divine. Her contributions strengthened the Bhakti movement in western India and continue to inspire spiritual seekers through oral traditions and Gujarati devotional literature.
