Sant Pipa (also known as Raja Pipa), a 15th-century Rajasthani saint and ruler of Gagron, was a prominent Bhakti figure. After renouncing his kingdom, he became a devoted disciple of Sant Ramanand. Pipa and his wife Sita challenged social norms through their simple, austere life dedicated to Lord Krishna. Pipa treated Krishna as both his lord and soulmate, composing devotional poems that emphasised inner purity, equality, and complete surrender. His life and teachings enriched the Bhakti movement with messages of detachment and true devotion.
